Sandin posturing for a higher number is further evidence his biggest worth to the team is as a trade chip. He's had ample opportunity to prove the team should be creating him room in the top 6, the end result is he's proven nothing that screams worth more then Liljegren.

Now is the right time to peddle that asset to make the team better. The hockey world is still in tune with his potential and not the idea that through 4 years of development he's just as poor defensively as he was the day he was drafted and is trending more towards being the next Jake Gardiner.

You guys slay me.

When you’re done backing the bus over Sandin just because Dubas is so capped out he can’t match an offer sheet on a young first round pick defenceman who they haven’t even fully evaluated yet, let me know.

Sandin is good. Very worthy of a 2 year 1.6-1.8M contract.

The issue is they have Rielly, Muzzin and Gio on the left side. You can not turn down Gio at 800K.

The reality of the situation is Sandin shouldn't sign a bridge like Lil if he knows he is going into the year as the 4LD behind 3 vets. 3RD is his best case scenario if nobody gets hurt?

Yeah I'd sign an offer sheet too.

Except he could match it. Very (frank)ing easily. That's not the point. The point is he's, at the moment, the 4th LD or 3rd RD (which he's sucked at thus far).

Agree. Unless he signs a cheap bridge deal he's a trade chip. Let him sign an offer sheet, match and trade his ass to Arizona in a package for Chychrun. Leafs get a good d-man, Sandin gets to play for one of the worst franchises in professional sports. Greedy agent gets fired into the sun.

What is an Evgeny Alikin and why does Dubas want a 5'10" goalie

What I'm thinking, too.

Don't want to trade him, but if he's gonna try to work more $$$ than what Liljegren got, trading him will most likely need to happen.

looking at the players drafted around Sandin, plus or minus 5
I dont think you can expect much more at this point in his development, there is not really any other players who have established themselves yet, maybe Romanov taken 11 picks later. but a lot of the same..still WIP and unknown

Sandin is a talented young player who os probably going to be a top 4 PP guy.

Would like Muzzin to go if I had the choice.

Leafs wouldn't match a $4M offer. 2nd round pick to the Leafs, ($2.055M to $4.11M is the range for only a 2nd round pick this year) I think they would match anything under $3M and trade his ass ASAP. Wouldn't be his best career move IMO.

I feel like that's doable ....what am I missing? Well, easier than a hotdog every second for 60 seconds.

A liter ...30 seconds. After a long ride I crush a liter of water or gaterade ..and it can't be much more than 30 seconds. Pink lemonade wouldn't be at the top of my chugging list but I throw down and say I could do that.

I believe that is correct, but he would be moved as soon as possible if he signed an offer sheet. He is one of the better trade chips the Leafs have, so moving him before there's an offer sheet on the table might be the way to go.

Maybe it's more than a liter. Not entirely sure, but I think that's what they said.

Also said the world record was 34 seconds and that behemoth beat his own world record.

He has traded Kadri, Marleau's 6M, signed Tavares, fired Mike Babcock, traded for Muzzin, Gio and Foligno at TDL's. Also managed to trade Z's anchor 7 year 4.5M contract.

But yeah. Muzzin's 5.6M 2 year deal is such an insanely higher caliber move than all those ffs
